On the morning of October 11, the School of Computer Science and Technology held an orientation session for its 2025 cohort of international students, including both undergraduate and postgraduate students, in Room 311 of the Advanced Technology Research Center building. In attendance were Yuqin Xia, Party Secretary of the School; Jun Huang, Executive Vice Dean; Vice Deans Zekai Cheng and Wei Xue; as well as program coordinators.

Secretary Yuqin Xia first extended a warm welcome to the Class of 2025 international students. He encouraged them to diligently study Chinese, actively participate in campus activities, gain a deeper understanding of China's excellent culture and development, and strive to serve as bridges between different cultures. Executive Vice Dean Jun Huang advised the new students to cherish their learning opportunities, maintain a dedicated and rigorous approach, solidly master professional knowledge, and enhance their scientific research and innovation capabilities to lay a solid foundation for their future development. Dr. Di Meng, the International Student Program Coordinator, outlined the training schemes, curriculum, academic administration, and graduation requirements. She also addressed student inquiries on the spot, helping them clarify their academic directions. Following the session, led by Dr. Di Meng and Dr. Yue Ruan, the international students toured the School's teaching and research facilities. The event concluded with a group photo of all participating faculty and students.
The orientation was well-structured and informative, designed to help the new international students adapt to their environment more quickly and embark smoothly on their academic journey in China.
